In addition to the standard, internal administration of users, KaDeck Enterprise offers the possibility to configure an LDAP server, which takes over the authentication. Furthermore, group assignments can optionally be made via the LDAP server.
Excluded from this is the first user of KaDeck, the "admin" user, which is exclusively managed internally via KaDeck.
User
A user in KaDeck has the mandatory attributes userid, username (if not specified, identical to userid) and password.
In addition, the first name, last name, company, department, position, and phone numbers can be specified.
A user has assigned roles (directly assigned) or groups, which in turn consist of roles.
Roles encapsulate one or more rights that control access to resources and functions.
